Where you can pick up
You pick up and drop off in the same city, so your chosen city is both the start and the end of your trip. Pick-up is available in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Brisbane, Broome, Cairns, Hobart, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Choose your home-base city when you book, then return the campervan to that same city at the end of your hire, subject to availability.
Adelaide
Adelaide is well positioned for motorhome and campervan travel across South Australia, with routes leading to the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu Peninsula. Longer journeys can continue north towards the Flinders Ranges or west along the Eyre Peninsula, making the city a useful departure point for regional road trips.
Alice Springs
Alice Springs is a central hub for motorhome and campervan travel through Australia’s Red Centre, with the Stuart Highway connecting the town to Darwin and Adelaide. Nearby touring routes lead to the West MacDonnell Ranges, Kings Canyon and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, making Alice Springs a natural base for exploring Central Australia.
Brisbane
Brisbane connects Queensland’s major coastal touring routes, with the Bruce Highway leading north towards the Sunshine Coast and the Pacific Motorway running south towards the Gold Coast. From a Brisbane motorhome or campervan hire depot, travellers can also reach the Glass House Mountains, Moreton Bay and the Scenic Rim before continuing further through Queensland.
Broome
Broome is a key departure point for motorhome and campervan travel through the Kimberley, with the Great Northern Highway linking the town to Derby, Fitzroy Crossing and Kununurra. Travellers can also explore Cable Beach and the Dampier Peninsula before continuing on longer routes across northern Western Australia.
Cairns
Cairns is a practical base for exploring Tropical North Queensland by motorhome or campervan, with the Captain Cook Highway linking the city to Palm Cove, Port Douglas and the Daintree Rainforest. Inland routes lead towards the Atherton Tablelands, while the Bruce Highway continues south towards Townsville and Queensland’s east coast.
Darwin
Darwin sits at the top of the Stuart Highway and works as a starting point for travellers heading south or east. Kakadu National Park, Litchfield National Park and Nitmiluk Gorge near Katherine all sit within reach of the city before a longer drive begins.
Hobart
Hobart provides easy access to several of southern Tasmania’s main touring routes, with the Tasman Highway leading towards the Tasman Peninsula and Freycinet National Park. Motorhome and campervan travellers can also head west towards Mount Field National Park and Lake St Clair, or travel south through the Huon Valley towards Bruny Island.
Melbourne
Melbourne is a major gateway for motorhome and campervan travel across Victoria, with the Great Ocean Road, Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley all within easy reach. Longer road trips can continue towards the Grampians, Phillip Island or north along the Hume Highway towards regional Victoria and New South Wales.
Perth
Perth is a convenient base for motorhome and campervan travel across Western Australia, with the Indian Ocean Drive leading north towards the Pinnacles and Coral Coast. South of the city, routes through Margaret River, the Blackwood River Valley and the South West connect travellers with some of the state’s best-known coastal and forest regions.
Sydney
Sydney sits on the New South Wales coast at the southern end of the Pacific Highway. The Blue Mountains and the Hunter Valley lie inland to the west and north, and the Hume Highway runs south-west towards Canberra and Melbourne.
